Has it really been over 7 months since I last posted?!
I have no excuses - I let life take over and didn't pay attention to getting posts created and posted. It's been a hectic year; a year of many changes personally and professionally.
In addition to the writing happening here, I invested in a franchise for creators (more to follow soon!), started a new job about a month and a half ago, and have started living the daily changes that my divorce earlier this year wrought. With all of that in mind, I decided it was time to take back my time and start getting back to the creative process that makes me so incredibly happy!
So....

For the first time in many years, I have put a Christmas tree up in my living room. Until last year when I went home to take care of my mom during December, I had traveled with my family during the Christmas holidays.
This year being the first one of being divorced and without my mom, I thought about not doing anything. But then I remembered how happy putting up a tree made my kids long ago. So decided to try something new.
My new partner had an extra tree at home, so we re-homed the white tree to my house. My youngest helped decorate it and I'm very pleased with how it turned out! Its a bit of a departure for me (when we did decorate a tree, it was all Hallmark and handmade ornaments) but it matches the aesthetic of the house and it turned out beautifully!
